We come into our clients’ homes as a trusted Direct Support Professional, ready to assist with needed tasks and advocate as appropriate. In this program, we make a huge impact on the health and safety of those we serve. We take the opportunity to know a client one-on-one, and help transform challenge into opportunity and growth. What we do in this program really matters, as it supports the nuts and bolts of our clients’ everyday activities.
We assist both adults and children by providing skill building support with activities such as meal preparation, budgeting, household chores, errands and appointments, assistance with finding housing, navigating benefits, personal hygiene, community transportation, accessing resources in the community, and coaching and mentorship around health and safety.

Daily Support Activity (DSA)
This program brings clients and Direct Support Professionals together in group settings to participate in fun skill building activities within the community. This is a variety filled program where we get to engage with our clients and help them take an active part in their local community.
Our activities include bowling, crafts, cooking classes, day trips, museum visits, gaming, and many others. This program is one that tends to put long lasting, genuine smiles on our clients’ faces. The goal of DSA is to help take individuals who may feel isolated and alone, and provide them the opportunity to build thriving and lasting relationships with their peers.
We invite your participation! If you’d like to experience DSA as a client, please click here. If you’re interested in finding out more about career opportunities within this program, please click here.
For those clients who desire to work, we provide them support to find meaningful employment within the community that matches their interests and skills set. We offer opportunities for career exploration to help clients identify their abilities, strengths, and talents, as well as to explore different businesses to determine a right fit.
We partner with employers in the community to identify business needs, and create jobs for our clients that address the needs of both our client and the business. To ensure our clients’ long term success in their jobs, we provide ongoing job coaching support tailored to each individual to help them continue to reach their employment goals.

Our clients and families love Access Community Care.
“I really like working with ACC because I get to make new friends and I get to spend time with the ones I have already made through ACC.”

“They are flexible, accessible/easy to talk to, they have a talent for working with neurodiverse people, and they have a newsletter.”
Client, ACCESS Community Care
“We had a poor experience with the first brokerage service we tried. They weren’t easy to reach or speak with. They were not knowledgeable about autism as they had claimed, and kept treating my son as if he had a physical disability and a general intellectual disability, neither of which is the case, and couldn’t adapt even after communicating these concerns.
ACC turned that all around. They are easy to reach and responsive, and as my son said, “they have a talent for working with neurodiverse people.” We experienced a noticeable increase in compassion from the people at ACC.
Here are some examples of practical ways they have helped my son: room organization, budgeting, meal planning, outings, recreation and companionship. Depending on your caregiver, some transportation may be possible (to go to a store or movie for example). Companionship with someone who sees and “gets” you may be the single most important positive impact, especially for people who are isolated and/or have social challenges. We are big fans of ACC.”
