Why work at Access Community Care?

We personally understand the rewards and challenges of working in the social services system.

Our executive director, Amie Tyler, founded ACC after seven years working as an in-home care provider. She and co-founder Shannon McCurry, our Director of Operations, have two decades of experience working in the social services system and helping their own family members with disabilities.

We're genuinely committed to YOU, our team and clients!

Our advocacy work has assisted in raising wages for Direct Support Professionals in Oregon, and helped increase benefits for our own agency employees, as well as for other agencies across the state.

We support our team with generous benefits.

  • Flexible schedule options promote work-life balance
  • Advancement opportunities
  • Paid training
  • Paid time off
  • Medical & Dental insurance
  • Bonuses
  • The joy of watching someone meet their goals!

Our staff love their work.

“ACC has a level of integrity that I have rarely encountered in any other company that I have worked for. They not only “talk the talk“ but actually “walk the walk” every day — not only for our customers, but for our staff as well!”

Laurie L.

“I’ve worked for ACC for almost 4 years. We have the best team imaginable, that will go above and beyond to make sure us providers and clients are fully supported. The dedication this team has is something you don’t see very often.”

The state capitol of Oregon
Shannon and Amie work to ensure that the voice of advocacy for disability services is heard in the Oregon State Legislature.

“Working for ACC has been nothing short of amazing. They are the kind of employer people dream of having. They are kind, compassionate, and patient with all of us and our customers. They really see the good in people and help build them up to be the best version of themselves, whoever they are and wherever they may be.

In just one short year, Amie and Shannon have helped me realize my potential and supported me while I try to make a difference in the lives of the people we support. It is a pleasure to work with them, as well as all of the other amazing members of our team here.”

“I’m incredibly grateful to ACC for allowing me the opportunities for professional growth and development, to take on new challenges and grow my skill set, while also encouraging and supporting me along the way, even when I didn’t always believe in myself. Coming from a teaching career before joining ACC, my favorite parts of my job were working with students and their families, facilitating their growth and development, advocating for their education and well-being, and encouraging them to reach their goals. Once I learned of ACC’s mission and core values, I knew it was the right fit for me.”
